Abstract: Cinnamic acids are widely distributed in plants, including crops for human use, and exhibit a variety of activities that are beneficial to human health. They also occupy a pivotal position in the biosynthesis of phenylpropanoids such as lignins, anthocyanins, flavonoids, and coumarins.
