Synthesis of Bimannich Base with Thiazole and Its Corrosion Inhibition Effect on H2S and CO2 at High Temperature

Abstract: A bimannich base TZBM containing a thiazole structure was obtained by the mannich base synthesis method. TZBM can maintain a stable structure at 260°C, and has a good corrosion inhibition effect on carbon steel in a gas-liquid environment containing Cl−+H2S + CO2 at 180°C. Through the weight loss test of steel under different concentrations of TZBM, the degree of surface coverage of the adsorbed inhibitor is determined, and it was found that the results obey the Langmuir adsorption isotherm. And the negative G… Show more

“…Compared with the condition containing only CO 2 , the cathodic reaction rate could be accelerated, and reduce the formation probability of FeCO 3 due to the conversion of FeCO 3 into Fe 2 O 3 in the presence of O 2 [ 24 ]. Previous studies mainly focus on the influence of CO 2 , microorganisms, temperature, and Cl − on steel corrosion [ 25 , 26 ]. However, the impact of DO on the corrosion behavior of steel in a shale gas environment remains uncertain.…”

“…Due to the abundance of lone pair electrons and π electrons, its derivatives were widely studied as corrosion inhibitors. [16][17][18][19][20] However, the influence of functional groups on the properties of thiadiazole had not been investigated in depth and detail in the literature.…”
