Synthesis of an ordered nanoporous Fe2O3/Au film for application in ascorbic acid detection

Abstract: A simple method based on sputtering and electrochemical deposition onto anodic aluminum oxide template is presented to fabricate ordered nanoporous Fe 2 O 3 /Au film. Investigation results indicated that the prepared porous film consisted of ordered hexagonal array of nanoholes with a pore diameter of 50 nm and a periodic distance of 120 nm. After dissolving the template, the independent Fe 2 O 3 /Au film can be transferred onto an ITO substrate to be used as an effective non-enzymatic sensor for detection of … Show more

“…At rst, the highly dense nanoakes could provide an extensive surface region for solution percolation, causing a rise in the electrochemically active surface sites, accordingly giving rise to outstanding sensing efficiency. 10,29 Second, a synergetic effect from the combination of NiO and MnO 2 likely augmented the catalytic efficiency of the nano-akes, further promoting the oxidation of AA. 35 In contrast, it is evident from Fig.…”

“…As a result, the development of nonenzymatic AA sensors that have excellent characteristics coupled with a well-designed shape is desired. 10 Two-dimensional (2D) nanoakes are signicantly interesting due to their exclusive characteristics, which include not only a large specic surface area, but also rich structural diversity and exclusive electronic characteristics. 11 NiO nano-akes are among the most appealing inorganic substances with applications in catalysis, ion exchange, molecular adsorption, biosensing, and power conservation.…”

“…The normal physiological level of AA is generally much higher (100 -1000 times) than that of dopamine. 41,42 Thus, the concentration of interfering substances added was one-tenth of the ascorbic acid concentration. Compared with the strong current response achieved with AA, obvious fluctuation was not observed with the injection of interferents as shown in Table 3.…”
