Abstract: X -R a y crystallographic investigation of [he product oblaincd by acylaiion of 1.2.3-rrin~cthoxybenzene with 3.4-dimerhoxyphcnylacciyl cliloridc is rcportcd. The I R and NMR spectral studies in solution are in agrecmenl wiih ihc crystal structure. Thc structurc confirms ihc distorted letrahedral arrangements around thc mcthylcnc group as obscrved lor othcr d co x y b cn z o i n s .
