Silver nanoparticles are multifunctional nanoparticles with effective antibacterial activity. In this present study, the synthesized AgNPs by reduction of silver nitrate during exposure to betel leaf aqueous extract was confirmed by UV-Vis spectrum, the SPR peak observed at 443nm. The characterization of AgNPs was carried out using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, Dynamic Light Scattering, Scanning Electron Microscope and Energy-Dispersive Spectroscopy. XRD analysis revealed that the particles were crystalline in nature with face-centered cubic geometry. The distribution of the AgNPs observed that the particles obtained are polydisperse mixtures in the size range from 70 to 80nm by using DLS analysis. SEM image of AgNPs shown that relatively spherical in shape and uniform with high agglomeration were noted. AgNPs coated IVC have shown the greatest antibacterial activity against biofilm producing human pathogens such as E. coli, S. aureus, P. aeruginosa, S. epidermidis and K. pneumoniae.

CdWO 4 particles were synthesized by a hydrothermal process with or without surfactant. The particles have a pure monoclinic phase with the wolframite structure. CdWO 4 particles show different morphologies with the assistant of different surfactants. Nanoparticles were obtained when there is no the addition of surfactant. Cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide and sodium dodecyl benzenesulfonate play the key roles in the formation of nanorods and microspheres, respectively. CdWO 4 particles with different morphologies have an emission peak in the blue wavelength range. The emission intensity of microspheres is higher than that of nanoparticles and nanorods. The results show that cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide and sodium dodecyl benzenesulfonate alter the shape and size of resulting CdWO 4 crystals.

In this paper, cadmium tungstate (CdWO 4 ) nanoparticles were synthesized via a precipitation method based on the reaction between cadmium nitrate hexahydrate and sodium tungstate dihydrate in water. Besides, three surfactant agents such as sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate, sodium dodecyl sulfate, and polyethylene glycol were used to investigate their effects on the morphology and particle size of CdWO 4 nanoparticles. According to the vibrating sample magnetometer, cadmium tungstate (CdWO 4 ) nanoparticles indicated a ferromagnetic behavior at room temperature. To evaluate the catalytic properties of nanocrystalline cadmium tungstate, the photocatalytic degradations of methyl orange under ultraviolet light irradiation were carried out. The structural, morphological, magnetic, and optical properties of as-obtained products were characterized by techniques such as XRD, SEM, EDX, VSM, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
