Suzuki Coupling in Tröger's Bases: Overcoming Challenging Substrates through Aqueous Micellar Catalysis

Abstract: Herein we report the arylation of Tröger's base via the Suzuki cross-coupling reaction through aqueous micellar catalysis. The developed reaction conditions enabled us to prepare a variety of different derivatives with Tröger's base skeleton, using a low catalytic loading of the readily available Pd(OAc) 2 catalyst and under environmentally friendly aqueous conditions.
