Abstract: Seismic data from survey work last year in Dabie Shan, China, are giving scientists their first view of the subsurface structure of a unique metamorphic rock complex. The work, in which a joint Chinese‐German research team surveyed possible sites for a super deep borehole, set the stage for more intensive petrological and seismic investigations this year and next.
