“…Both group had improvement in the quality of semen examination postoperatively. 4 In comparative study on complications of different varicocelectomy techniques: open inguinal, laparoscopic, and sub inguinal microscopic, none of the patients of the microscopic group developed postoperative hydrocele as observed in 13% patients of open and 20% in the laparoscopic group. 8 Patients were followed up to 12 months.…”

“…3,6 Several approaches for the management of varicocele are being used which may include, retroperitoneal, microsurgical inguinal or subinguinal approaches, laparoscopic repairs or radiographic embolization. [7][8][9][10] An ideal surgical treatment for varicocele would be one where the testicular function is preserved, while the varicocele is completely eliminated with a low rate of recurrence, hydrocele formation, adjacent nerve damage or any other potential complications. No such study was conducted in Pakistan which reported complication rates in these patients, moreover no such data available from our local population of Southern Punjab.…”

“…Varicocele result from abnormal dilatation of pampiniform venous plexus of the scrotum that drained testicular venous blood and ascent through the inguinal canal to drain into inferior vena cava (on right side) or renal vein (left side). [1] [1,2] . Most of the varicocele in clinical practice are on left side.…”
