Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. Although this approach may be considered an adjunct to the armamentarium of the ENT surgeon, we consider the only endoscopic approach sufficient to handle the medial based subperiosteal approaches, while we agree with Tanna et al [10] about the necessity to accomplish an open approach on the superolateral based abscess. In our series the case 10 had to be treated through a combined endoscopic-external approach for a superiorly based subperiosteal orbital abscess.…”
