“…Although strictly they are not EO-obtaining production methods, because they do not comply with the ISO definition of EOs, some innovative techniques have been proposed to extract EOs from Citrus peels. In most cases, these extracts have different chemical compositions from cold-pressed EOs [50], and most of them are still at a laboratory or pilot level: ultrasound-accelerated solvent extraction, solid-phase microextraction, supercritical CO2 extraction [48], and pervaporation [51].…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…Among citric fruits, Citrus deliciosa bergamia (bergamot) has an associated peel essential oil with high commercial value due to the great variety of compounds of interest such as limonene, linalool and linalyl acetate [7,8] that can be applied in different processing industry areas. Thus, bergamot peel obtained by cold extraction cannot be considered a residue of the citrus juice industry as it is a very valuable product, high price, used in perfumery and cosmetic industry.…”

“…The use of carbon dioxide in the supercritical phase has also been on the fruit of bergamot but in particular for the extraction of the essential oil (Poiana et al ; Mitsuru et al . ; Tao et al .…”
