Sulfonic acid functionalized silica nanoparticles as catalysts for the esterification of linoleic acid

Abstract: Sulfonic acid functionalized SiO2-nanoparticles showed excellent performance in linoleic acid esterification: 100% conversion, 2 h reaction time, TOF = 53–498 h−1.
