“…Interventions that warrant the EBP label have shown consistent scientific evidence that they demonstrate improvement in patient [or client] outcomes (Institute of Medicine Committee on Quality of Health Care in America [IOM], 2001). Even for the most savvy professionals, however, it is often confusing as to what it means for a treatment to be “evidence‐based.” The California Evidence‐Based Clearinghouse (CEBC) is an excellent resource for identifying evidence‐based practices for use with traumatized children, particularly those involved within child welfare (Alexandra, 2007).
