It has been reported that the content of not only Au but also Cu in renal MT increases after Au treatment in rats (McVety and Shaikh 1987; Saito 1996). Recently we demonstrated that Cu content in the kidney of the Au-injected rat dramatically increased in comparison with Au and Zn content and that Cu-binding MT was predominantly observed in the outer stripe of the outer medulla in the kidney (Saito et al 1997).…”
