Study on the industrial structure optimization under constraint of energy intensity

Abstract: This study establishes a multi-sector dynamic computable general equilibrium framework that integrates energy intensity module to explore the reverse feedback effect of energy intensity control on industry structure. The results indicate that (1) the tightening effect of energy intensity constrains on the Industrial sector is most significant, followed by the Tertiary Industry, with the least impact on Agriculture; (2) when there is no technological progress in the departments, the change of industrial structu… Show more

“…In the next few years, the economic development zone will inevitably become the main battlefield of the industrial economy of Liling City. e secondary industry foundation is good and should be maintained in the growth range of about 18% [24,25]. At the same time, the economic development zone is bound to become the main battlefield for the urban expansion of Liling City.…”

“…In comparison of personnel consumption in these industries, researchers believe that the secondary industry's impact on energy consumption is too great. 44 Zhang pointed out that after adjusting the structure of the tertiary industry, the indispensability of energy consumption for economic development is decreasing. 14 Shang 6 Science Progress 106(1)…”

“…In comparison of personnel consumption in these industries, researchers believe that the secondary industry's impact on energy consumption is too great. 44 Zhang pointed out that after adjusting the structure of the tertiary industry, the indispensability of energy consumption for economic development is decreasing. 14 Shang established a multiple linear regression model based on China's energy consumption data and economic development data from 1990 to 2009 and used this model to support the conclusion that adjusting the tertiary industry is useful for reducing energy consumption.…”

“…Second, the ecological benefits of advantageous industries are not guaranteed. Heavy industry, high pollution, high energy, resource development and other industries are the core industries of some cities, which develop abnormally, leading to the concentration of resources and the intensification of damage to the environment [ 23 , 24 , 25 ]. Third, the simple emphasis on reducing the proportion of secondary industries and accelerating the development of tertiary industries is only to increase the ecological footprint of the city, which is trying to achieve the best environment but not sustainable development completely free from the constraints of resources and environment [ 26 , 27 ].…”
