Nonetheless, in the segment II study MYR-induced embryotoxic effects were observed only at a higher and maternally toxic dose (13). Since in the segment II study MYR was administered during the second week (pregnancy days 6 to 15) whereas in the present study treatment continued throughout pregnancy, the highest susceptibility of the embryos in the latter may have been due to a longer exposure to this monoterpene.…”
