“…Tetracycline has been claimed to be superior to chlor-and oxytetracycline in its penetrability in the aqueous humor from the plasma (Abraham & Burnett 1955) but after the intravenous administration of a large dose, 50 mg/kg, therapeutic concentrations of oxytetracycline have been observed in the rabbit aqueous humor, cornea, conjunctiva, sclera and iris, while in the vitreous body, chorioretina and lens no detectable amounts were found (Cannon et al 1952).
