Objectives:The preparation tools and resources used for licensure examinations in the pharmacy practice are crucial to entry-level pharmacist's skills for licensures exam. It was a cross-sectional descriptive study aimed at demonstrating the preparation methodology for passing the Saudi Pharmacist Licensure Exam (SPLE) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), focusing on the preparation tools, resources, and barriers of pharmacy workers. Methods: The data for this study was collected through a self-electronic survey and analyzed using the survey monkey systems and the statistical package of social sciences (SPSS). The study used a sample size of 701 participants statistically calculated with a 95% CI, 1.96 z score, and 5% margin error. Results: The study found medium scores (M=3.31, p=.000) in the preparation tools to SPLE with highly used Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) in pharmacy practice and review of healthcare professionals' law. In contrast, Non-pharmacy board license exams stimulating undergraduate examinations, Anxiety about the test, and Lack of preparation were the most significant barriers preventing the entry-level pharmacist's licensure examinations. In addition, gender and material status affected SPLE preparation tools, resources, and obstacles to perceptions. Conclusion:The analysis concluded that the current licensure examination (SPLE) preparation tool was self-preparations and used resources. There are no standardized entry-level licensure examination tools or resources, necessitating targeted changes in undergraduate schools to introduce preparation tools that measure entry-level pass Pharmacist Licensure Exam very efficiently.

This study examined the moderating role of immigration status on the relationship between anxiety and intent to persist among 469 immigrant college students. Additionally, we examined whether depression mediated the relationship between anxiety and intent to persist. Results showed that anxiety predicted increased intent to persist and increased anxiety predicted increased depression. However, depression did not significantly predict intent to persist, yet immigration status positively predicted intent to persist. Combined, anxiety, depression, and immigration status accounted for a significant variation in intent to persist. Additionally, results suggested that there was moderated mediation in the model. Therefore, clinical, institutional policy and research implications are discussed in efforts to develop and implement initiatives that reduce or limit these social determinants and reduce immigrant college students' levels of anxiety and depression. Further, given that anxiety is associated with a greater likelihood of persisting, especially for students with specific immigration status (i.e., precarious status), culturally relevant initiatives can further be examined to promote assets, strengths, and protective factors among first-generation immigrant college students.

Background Anxiety disorder is one of the most common mental health problems worldwide, including Malaysia. With the rising suicide rate nowadays, this issue has gained concern and attention from many, including experts and authorities globally. While average levels of anxiety motivate students to perform well in their studies, a high level of anxiety will significantly affect students' performance and self-esteem. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted at selected government and private universities throughout Malaysia. A total of 1851 students participated in this study. The students were asked to complete self-administered questionnaires, which include information such as socio-demographic, academic, and psychosocial characteristics. The Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) questionnaire was used to measure the prevalence of anxiety in this study. Chi-square analysis was conducted to find the relationship between the variables and anxiety, and multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to identify the predictors. Results The response rate was 97.90%, where 1821 out of 1860 students participated in the study. The prevalence of anxiety in this study was 29%. The data revealed that race, residency, smoking status, alcohol consumption, sleeping quality, body mass index (BMI), academic year, the field of study, financial support for study and current living arrangement were found to be significantly associated with anxiety; with the academic year as the primary predictor. Conclusions Anxiety among university students in Malaysia is mainly impacted by the academic year. The findings highlight the current prevalence of anxiety among university students in Malaysia. The outcome of this study can serve as the evident baseline data and help with the development of specific interventions in addressing and managing the issue appropriately.
