Structured Assessment of Trainee‐Performed Transurethral Resection of Bladder Tumors Using the Operative Performance Rating System

Abstract: Transurethral resection of bladder tumors (TURBT) is the most frequently performed general urological procedure in Japan [1]. It integrates diagnosis, treatment, and risk stratification; trainee-performed procedures must achieve complete removal and accurate staging while avoiding perforation and bleeding. Detrusor muscle sampling is a practical quality indicator that can complement postoperative feedback.
