Abstract: Mannosyl-3-phosphoglycerate synthase is a glycosyltransferase involved in the two-step synthetic pathway of mannosylglycerate, a compatible solute that accumulates in response to salt and/or heat stresses in many microorganisms thriving in hot environments.
