Stink bugs (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) and related species continue to plague cotton, Gossypium hirsutum L. (Malvaceae), worldwide. Stink bugs utilize their stylets (housed within the rostrum) to feed upon cotton bolls and transmit pathogens that cause seed and boll rot of cotton.
