“…Unmarried mothers were perceived as mothers with the least positive qualities, as irresponsible, selfish and impatient, unsuccessful partners, and as mothers with the least upbringing skills (Ganong & Coleman, 1995). Research conducted in Croatia (Halmi, 1997;Raboteg-Šarić & Pećnik, 2009) confirmed negative attitudes towards single mothers as well.
