Statistics for Investigation of Multimodal MR Imaging Data and an Application to Multiple Sclerosis Patients

Abstract: Magnetic resonance spectroscopy can image axonal damage specifically based on changes in N‐acetyl aspartate (NAA), a neuronal marker. We have developed statistical methods for multimodal analysis of MR spectroscopic images. Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD.
