Abstract: In this work, solvent extraction of oil from Sesamum indicum (beniseed) was investigated. This process was optimized by applying Box-Behnken design and response surface methodology (RSM). A quadratic model was obtained to predict the oil yield as a function of time, solvent volume and sample weight.
