Stabilization Characteristics of Upgraded Coal Using Palm Oil Residues

Abstract: In this research, the stabilization characteristics of upgraded coal using palm oil residues were investigated. The Eco coal, which is the Indonesian low-rank coal, was used as a raw material. The low-rank coal was mixed with palm fatty acid distillate (PFAD), and then dried in a nitrogen atmosphere at 107 ℃. The trend of spontaneous combustion of upgraded coal was studied by measuring of crossing-point temperature (CPT), low temperature oxidation and moisture readsorption. The results of the CPT measuring and… Show more

“…It has been applied in more than 70 coal mines in China who is leading worldwide in the field [1].With the improvement of coal mining equipments, the merits of fully mechanized top-coal caving technology which is being widely utilized in various geological conditions are becoming increasingly recognized [2]. However, to achieve more efficient coal production, there still exist some core problems that need sore improvements, especially the unsatisfactory recovery rate [3]. Therefore, improving the recovery rate and the residual coal disposal are of extreme importance to sustainable development.…”
