Abstract: Stability conditions of the Peierls state in a one-dimensional system with impurities is investigated. Calculations are performed in a single-impurity approximation and two cases are considered: an impurity built in the chain and the system with solitons. I n the first case the total energy of the system as a function of the atomic potential and the concentration of impurities is presented.
