Abstract: The use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology beyond geometric collision detection requires that owners specify minimum content standards and define the formats in which BIM data are to be delivered. Such standards can be viewed as performance-based specifications for information deliverables that may be objectively tested and enforced.
