Os estuários são habitats favoráveis à ocupação por diversas espécies de peixes em virtude da disponibilidade de abrigo e alimentação. Entre as diversas ferramentas de gestão de recursos pesqueiros, os estudos baseados em tamanho dos espécimes são úteis para a melhor compreensão da estrutura das comunidades estuarinas e podem ser associados aos aspectos reprodutivos e de seletividade dos aparelhos de captura aplicáveis à mitigação dos efeitos da sobrepesca. No presente estudo, os comprimentos das espécies de peixes capturadas com rede de emalhar foram avaliados espacialmente em um estuário tropical no estado de Pernambuco, em trechos horizontais (centro e margens) e profundidades (superior, intermediário e inferior) entre julho de 2013 e junho de 2014. Entre as espécies de peixes mais capturadas, a predominância de indivíduos jovens foi maior nas espécies Chloroscombrus chrysurus, Harengula clupeola, Lycengraulis grossidens, Opisthonema oglinum e Anchovia clupeoide, que apresentaram comprimento médio de 6,47 cm, 9,59 cm, 9,93 cm, 11,25 cm e 12,17 cm respectivamente. A exceção foi a Strongylura marina, em que ocorreram indivíduos adultos (42,43 cm). No período de seca, a representatividade de indivíduos maiores ocorreu apenas para a O. oglinum e A. clupeoides, mas esses foram duas vezes menores do que os encontrados na década de 1970. Portanto, há necessidade de implementação de medidas que visem à proteção do estuário do Canal de Santa Cruz, objetivando a preservação dos estoques pesqueiros dessa região.Palavras-chave: Clupeidae, pesca artesanal, peixes pelágicos, rede de emalhar.

In recent years, with the rapid development of urban economy and water conservancy construction, the water environment in the Poyang Lake Basin has gradually deteriorated. Freshwater ecosystems are destroyed, soil erosion is intensified, lakes tend to be more tropical, and the risk of environmental pollution increases. The purpose of this paper is to study the structure of aquatic organism community and the ecological effect of environmental pollution in Poyang Lake. The ecological effects of aquatic biodiversity and environmental pollution are introduced. This paper summarizes the overall environmental status of the Poyang Lake Basin and puts forward the protection strategies of Poyang Lake aquatic organisms. Focus on analyzing the temporal and spatial dynamics of the zooplankton community structure in Poyang Lake, study the differences in community structure in different seasons and divide different types of communities, explore the factors that lead to differences in community structure, and analyze the main community structures. Environmental factors affecting zooplankton community structure. The water quality of Poyang Lake was evaluated by water physicochemical factors and biological indicators. The Shannon-Wiener diversity index and BI index evaluation results showed that the water body of sampling point 2 was seriously polluted, and most of the other water bodies were moderately or polluted.

The composition of estuarine fish fauna is dynamic and complex. Despite the variation in fish fauna in estuaries, it is possible to observe some species associated with microhabitats. The assemblage composition of these communities is apparently derived from habitat selection. The aim of this study was to assess the structure of the demersal fish fauna of the Paranaguá Bay and its relationship with biotic and abiotic factors. To this end, monthly collections were conducted using an otter trawl, from October 1999 to September 2000, at five sites in the shallow infralittoral. Biotic (organic matter, and invertebrates) and abiotic factors (salinity, temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, seston, and nutrients) were recorded during sampling. A total of 6,623 individuals were captured, belonging to 2 species of Chondrichthyes and 53 species of Actinopterygii (26 families). Sciaenidae was the most representative in terms of richness, with 11 species, and Ariidae was the most representative in terms of abundance. The catfish Cathorops spixii was the most abundant species, representing 21 % of the entire catch. There were significant differences in the composition and abundance of the fish fauna among the studied areas, as evidenced by the Shannon-Wiener diversity index. Such differences seem to be related to the complexity of habitats, which occur due to different types of bottom cover found at each sampling site. The abiotic variables indicated little influence on the structure of the fish assembly. These results contribute to a better understanding of the fish fauna from the shallow infralittoral areas of the Paranaguá Bay, and provide data to decision makers for better implementation of management and conservation measures.
