“…It has been incriminated in acute leucocytoclastic vasculitis (6) and in asthmatic crisis, because it appears in some food (7) and drinks (8). It has also been described as causing anaphylactic reactions (9).…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…Technologies for processing such as thermal pasteurization may cause alteration in quality and nutritional value of fruit juices; thus, nonthermal processing such as antimicrobials has become important to ensure safety and preserve quality of juices. The most common antimicrobials used in fresh juice are sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate; however, they could have a negative impact in human health if consumption is exceeded (Vogt, Landthaler, & Stolz, ; Winkler, Frick, Schroecksnadel, Schennach, & Fuchs, ).…”
