Small size dual‐band rectangular dielectric resonator antenna based on calcium titanate (CaTiO3)

Abstract: A rectangular dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) based on CaTiO3 with low profile, dual‐band and high dielectric constant is proposed as a candidate for application in wireless communication systems at the microwave band. The proposed geometry is composed by a dielectric resonator mounted on a microstrip line section that is used as the feeding element. The antenna analysis is performed using Ansoft HFSS that implements the finite element method. Measured results are shown for several DRA prototypes. A good ag… Show more

“…Before the discovery of BT, steatite, mica, MgTiO 3 , CaTiO 3 , and TiO 2 were widely used in capacitors. These materials exhibit ɛ r ≤ 100, which limits their use in the industry of dielectric capacitors [13][14][15]. During World War II, the need of high dielectric constant materials increased in capacitor applications [16,17].…”

“…Generally, nanostructured ceramic substrates are obtained by traditional solid-state method. Chemical techniques, such as combustion and sol-gel, are used to produce these oxides with several advantages, namely, nanosized particles, high reactivity, and very good homogeneity in composition [8][9].…”
