Single-feed dual-frequency circular microstrip antenna with an open-ring slot

Abstract: A novel dual‐frequency design of a single‐layer, single‐feed circular microstrip antenna with an open‐ring slot s demonstrated. The open‐ring slot is embedded close to the boundary of the circular patch, and has a small spacing between the two open ends of the slot. By selecting suitable widths of the open‐ring slot, a dual‐frequency operation with its two operating frequencies having similar broadside radiation patterns, the same polarization planes, and small antenna‐gain differences can be obtained. Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC).
