Siblings of patients with an eating disorder

Abstract

In the voluminous literature on families of eating disorder patients, siblings are a relatively forgotten group. This article gives a brief review of the research literature concerning the following issues: family size, birth order, eating disorders in siblings, behavioral and mental disorders, personality of siblings, sibling rivalry, and sibling incest.

Psychological Distress Among Sisters of Young Females With Eating Disorders
