The relationship between an objective response to chemotherapy and survival in advanced colorectal cancer

“…We have previously noted a strong correlation between an objective and a subjective response. when patients with a response or SD were subjectively improved almost to the same extent (Glimelius et al, 1989Carlsson et al, 1990). In light of these findings, it seems reasonable to include patients with SD in some form of 'desirable' response category, provided the stabilisation lasts for a minimum of 4 months.…”
