Abstract: This paper presents study on the facilitated transport of cadmium(II), cobalt(II) and nickel(II) ions from aqueous chloride solutions through polymer inclusion membranes (PIMs) with phosphonium ionic liquid. Cyphos IL 101 (trihexyl(tetradecyl) phosphonium chloride) was used as a selective carrier for synthesis of cellulose triacetate membranes containing o-nitrophenyl pentyl ether (ONPPE) as a plasticizer.
