Abstract: For the improvement of automotive active safety and the reduction of traffic collisions, significant efforts have been made on developing a vehicle coordinated collision avoidance system. However, the majority of the current solutions can only work in simple driving conditions, and cannot be dynamically optimized as the driving experience grows. In this study, a novel self-learning control framework for coordinated collision avoidance is proposed to address these gaps. First, a dynamic decision model is design… Show more

“…Their study helps in finding new factors involved in accidents. The authors in [21] proposed an ANN-based self-learning control framework which can improve the strength of vehicle during collision avoidance with the increase in the experience of driver. Their study added new factor called driver experience.…”

“…Therefore, both industry and academia have made great efforts to develop new technologies to reduce or even avoid traffic accidents. Active safety systems are the most representative of these new technologies, which include antilock braking systems [1], electronic stability control systems [2,3], active collision avoidance systems [4], etc.…”
