West part of Cirebon in the past suffered an extraordinary event due to poisonous food found in green mussel. It is necessary to monitor current water quality over this region since this area still used for green mussel cultivation area. In-situ measurement and laboratory analysis were done to monitor the condition of seawater around Gunungjati as part of green mussel cultivation area in Cirebon regency. Several points had been measured through CTD Valeport Midas+ in prior to measure physical (temperature, salinity, pH, chlorophyll-a, turbidity) and chemical seawater (dissolved oxygen, Nitrate, Orthophosphate, Hg, Pb, Cd concentration) characteristics, meanwhile water sample had been brought to laboratory to be checked its heavy metal concentration. Additionally, past study and data related to green poison event in Cirebon was taken account into observation and analysis. Seasonal result show slightly different value though vertical distribution data where temperature (30.1°–32.3°C), salinity (26.9–32.0 psu), and pH (7.5–8.7) are high in December but lower in July, meanwhile, chlorophyll-a (0.2–20.9 mg.L-1), dissolved oxygen (0.2–7.8 mg.L-1), and turbidity (1.3–20.1 NTU) are increasing in October. Nitrate and orthophosphate concentration find in water sample is 0.097–0.537 mg.L-1 and <0.01–0.32 mg.L-1, respectively. Parameters of Cd (<0.001 mg.L-1), Hg (<0.00014 mg.L-1), and Pb (<0.001 mg.L-1) are still below the threshold. The condition of seawater of west part of Cirebon or at cultivation area is still in moderate condition based on the national standard. Although, turbidity and dissolved oxygen is still above the standard quality.

Danda Besar Swamp Irrigation Area (SIA) is located in Danda Jaya Village in Rantau Badauh District, Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. It is one of tidal swamp reclamation where tidal fluctuation of Barito River affects to the hydrological condition. Danda Besar SIA has potential agricultural land about 2, 200 ha, and the productivity of paddy field was only 2 ton/ha in average for each time planting year. Two ton/ha is too low productivity due to problem of water quality in irrigation canal. However, fundamental information for the management of water quality of irrigation, monitoring data of water quality, is not measured yet. This fundamental research was conducted to identify and analyze condition of irrigation water quality. The field survey was carried out in dry months, May and June 2021 at primary canal, secondary canal, tertiary canal and pond. The final result for 6 parameters of the 4 locations (primary canal, secondary canal, tertiary canal and pond) showed there were 3 parameters (TDS, DO, and Sulfate (SO4 2-)) fulfill the class II standard, meanwhile there were 3 parameters (pH, Iron (Fe) and BOD) not fulfill the class II standard according to Government Regulation No. 22 year 2021 regarding Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management. The high content of Iron (Fe) and low content of pH recorded in all water sources should be addressed with urgency since this phenomenon as a result of pyrite oxidation affect to pH condition and may cause the low productivity of paddy field.

As a product of the development of the information age, the intelligent automatic water quality monitoring method is the main feature of wireless sensor network, which uses database and other technologies. Based on this, this paper first analyzed the overall design of the water quality monitoring system, focused on the overall structure design of the water quality monitoring system, and put forward the requirements of the water quality monitoring system. Then this paper designed the monitoring system, discussed the monitoring node design and remote monitoring, and proposed the data processing task. This paper also discussed the software design of the water quality monitoring system, starting from the analysis of the network coordinator node program, router node program, and sensor node program, and used the residual repair algorithm to strengthen the design of the water quality pollution monitoring system. After comparison, it can be seen that the data accuracy of the new water pollution monitoring system was 20.2% higher than that before prevention and control, and the monitoring perfection was 16.9% higher than that before prevention and control. After using the new water pollution monitoring system, the real-time data integrity was 0.25 higher than that of the traditional monitoring system, and the monitoring system integrity was 0.24 higher than that of the traditional system.
