Abstract:Background and aims
Alfalfa (Medicago sativa. L) growth is largely restricted by abiotic stress such as drought and nutrient deficiency. Identifying root architectural and anatomical characteristics is of great significance for breeding alfalfa genotypes with improved adaptation to adverse environments.
