“…Interestingly, CDC37, HSP90, FKBP4, and AHSA1 have been shown to play an important role in RNAi-mediated gene silencing in mammals ( Pare et al 2013 ). Oxidative stress can induce RNAi silencing and subsequently reduced thermal tolerance in C. elegans ( Spiró et al 2012 ). Examining the role of RNAi in the stress response of fish is a potentially interesting line of future inquiry.…”

“…Recent emphases on miRNAs have led to their enormous potential role in cellular machinery and gene regulation of the cells, and their involvement in almost every biological process [2,3,35]. Mir-451 is a unique microRNA which undergoes Ago2-dependent cytoplasmic biogenesis pathway, independent from Dicer activity [15,16].…”

“…Furthermore, induction of HSP70s is attenuated with aging . If that is not enough, heat shock protein induction in response to oxidative stress is complicated by the recent finding that, ironically, some ROS can impair HSP72 induction through RNA interference with microRNAs …”

It failed to show significant advantages over a placebo in phase II clinical trials.…”
