Abstract: Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes (RANS) and large-eddy simulations (LES) of a Siemens scaled combustor are compared against comprehensive experimental data. The steady RANS simulation modeled one quarter of the geometry with 8 M polyhedral cells using the shear stress transport (SST) k-ω model.
