“…They have shifted their occupations from fishing and working in farms to investing in businesses such as serviced apartments, restaurants and hotels. These findings provide support to existing literature (Jafari, ; Archer, ; Boissevain 1977; Noronha, , ; Macnaught, ; Smith, ; Wall, ; İncirlioğlu and Çulcuoĝlu, ; Gentry, ). This develops value change by creating a more competitive, materialistic and urban lifestyle – change also found in existing literature (Greenwood, ; Huit, ; Wu, ; Kousis, ; Smith, ; Dearden, ).…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…Las reacciones de los turistas al terrorismo también pueden ser diferentes en función de su nacionalidad y la experiencia previa (Wall 1996;Tremblay 1989). En cierta medida, los acontecimientos trágicos tienen menos influencia en el riesgo percibido en el caso de viaje de negocios que en los viajes vacacionales (Domínguez, Burguette and Bernard, 2007).…”

“…According to Wall (1996), key factors contributing to the nature of the impacts are the type of tourism activities engaged in, the characteristics of the host community in the destination region and the nature of the interaction between the visitors and residents. Davison (1996) suggested a range of similar influences and also included the importance of time and location in relation to tourism impacts.…”
