“…The newborns of mothers exposed to SSRI medication had lower Apgar scores than the controls, which was line with previous observations [ 10 , 13 ]. Moreover, similarly to others [ 11 , 14 ], we observed that the newborns of pregnant women exposed to SSRIs had more neonatal intensive care unit admissions than the control group. However, we observed no correlation between maternal SSRI use and a low birth weight or a preterm delivery.…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…Similar results were obtained in the 2001 NSCSHCN with respect to both the caregiver or his or her family's respite care need and unmet respite care need. 12,15 Similar results were also obtained in the 1994-1995 NHIS-DS. 10 However, it is not clear what is driving these large differences.…”

“…Findings from two prior studies additionally suggest the largest proportion of US CSHCN experience unmet need for respite care rather than other family health services. 8,29 This study’s findings reinforce that unmet need for respite care relative to unmet need for family mental healthcare or genetic counseling may affect the largest number of CSHCN including those with developmental disabilities.…”
