Resolution of multicomponent chromatograms by window factor analysis with wavelet transform preprocessing

Abstract: The resolution and quantitative determination of multicomponent chromatograms with noise were investigated using wavelet transform and window factor analysis (WFA). It was proved that wavelet transform is a very powerful technique for noise filtering and that quantitative results by WFA can be greatly improved for a noisy chromatographic data matrix by wavelet transform preprocessing. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC).
