This study was conducted in June-August 2019 at Universitas Diponegoro, Central Java. this study used cross sectional design with a total of 120 female students aged 17-21 years and selected using purposive sampling method. Study variables included SAD, SAD/Height, ADI and insulin resistance level. SAD was measured by abdominal caliper, SAD/Height was ratio of SAD divided by height. ADI was ratio of SAD divided by thigh circumference. The value of insulin resistance was obtained from the calculation of homeostasis model assessment insulin resistance (HOMA-IR). Data normality was analyzed by Kolmogorov-smirnov test, all data were not normal distribution so the bivariate test analyzed by Rank spearman test. Results: As many as 42.5% subjects had SAD which included at risk and 83.3% subjects had suffering insulin resistance. There was significant relationship between SAD, SAD/Height, ADI with insulin resistance (SAD (p=0.001), SAD/Height (p<0.001) and ADI (p=0.003). In addition, SAD, SAD/Height, ADI were significant relationship with fasting blood glucose (SAD (p=0.048), SAD/Height (p=0.022) and ADI (p=0.003). Conclusion: There were significant relationship between SAD, SAD/Height, ADI with insulin resistance and fasting blood glucose in obese adolescent female.

Dyslipidemia increases the risk of coronary heart disease in people with diabetes. Increased consumption of foods substantial in fiber and antioxidants, such as sorghum, can help people with diabetes manage their lipid profiles and improve insulin sensitivity. The study aimed to evaluate how sorghum flour affected diabetic rats' plasma atherosclerosis index (IAP) score and blood lipid profile. A randomized control design was used for the research's experimental methodology. In 2019, the study was carried out at P3G Laboratory UGM. 18 male Wistar rats served as the subjects and were separated into three groups: treatment (P) (5 g/mouse/day for 28 days), positive control (K+), and negative control of sorghum flour (K-). By administering nicotinamide and streptozotocin (STZ), the DM rat model was created (NA). The GPO-PAP method was used to measure TG levels. Total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein, and high-density lipoprotein were all measured using CHOD-PAP. The log (TG/HDL) ratio (IAP) calculated the plasma atherosclerosis index. Paired T-tests, Wilcoxon, Anova, and Kruskal-Wallis, were used to evaluate the data. According to the findings, there were significant changes in the groups' baseline and post-intervention levels of total cholesterol (p=0,003), triglycerides (p=0,002), low-density lipoprotein (p=0,003), high-density lipoprotein (p=0,002), and IAP (p=0,001). In conclusion, feeding DM rats sorghum flour altered their blood lipid levels and plasma atherosclerosis index (IAP). Their LDL, triglycerides, and total cholesterol can all be reduced with a daily intake of 5 g per person.

Pandemi COVID-19 menimbulkan adanya perubahan perilaku gaya hidup, seperti perilaku sedentary lifestyle dan timbulnya pola asupan berlebih karena pembatasan aktivitas sosial hingga berpotensi menyebabkan gangguan status gizi selama pandemi COVID-19. Keberlangsungan berperilaku sedentari selama kurang lebih 2 tahun masa pandemi tersebut berpotensi mempengaruhi gaya hidup dan juga status gizi di kehidupan selanjutnya termasuk anak sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan perilaku sedentary lifestyle dengan status gizi remaja pasca pandemi COVID-19 pada siswa MAN lhokseumawe dengan melibatkan 78 siswa aktif berusia 15-18 tahun menggunakan desain cross sectional. Hasil analisis univariat didapatkan gambaran perilaku Sedentary Lifestyle pada remaja pasca pandemi COVID-19 terbanyak adalah tinggi yaitu sebanyak 57 orang (73,1%), gambaran status gizi tertinggi adalah kategori normal yaitu sebanyak 47 orang (60,3%). Hasil analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Chi-square dengan mempertimbangkan nilai p>0,05 menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan antara perilaku Sedentary Lifestyle dengan status gizi remaja pasca pandemi COVID-19 pada siswa MAN Lhokseumawe dengan nilai signifikansi p-value sebesar 0,068. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara perilaku Sedentary Lifestyle dengan status gizi remaja pasca pandemi COVID-19 pada siswa MAN Lhokseumawe.
