“…It has been reported that CBB resistance was highly dependent of the interaction between cassava cultivars and Xam isolates (Restrepo et al, 2000), and MEPX1 could be useful as a marker for specific cultivar x isolate interaction. It would also be interesting to check this clone as a marker for resistance to cassava mosaic virus (ACMV), another important disease in cassava, since there are indications that the genes for resistance to both diseases are linked (Hahn et al, 1989).…”
