Research on the Rapid Recognition Method of Electric Bicycles in Elevators Based on Machine Vision

Zhike Zhao,
Songying Li,
Caizhang Wu
et al.

Abstract: People are gradually coming around to the idea of living a low-carbon lifestyle and using green transportation, and given the severe urban traffic congestion, electric bicycle commuting has taken over as the preferred mode of short-distance transportation for many. Since batteries are used to power electric bicycles, there are no greenhouse gas emissions while they are in use, which is more in line with the requirement for sustainable development around the world. The public has been increasingly concerned abo… Show more

“…Secondly, lighting conditions may vary from dim to bright, impacting algorithm performance. Moreover, during peak elevator usage, there can be a high density of objects, leading to overlapping targets and increased difficulty in identification [3,4]. Therefore, addressing these challenges requires comprehensive consideration and tailored algorithm design to enhance accuracy and stability in object detection within elevator environments.…”

“…Although it developed an online real-time monitoring system, the experiment's test accuracy was not notably high. Furthermore, the authors of [11] introduced a machine-learning algorithm for rapidly identifying electric bikes in elevators. The CBAM attention mechanism was incorporated into the main and head parts of YOLOv5 to enhance feature map expressiveness.…”
