Research on Audio-Video Materials Managing System Based on Content Management

Abstract

Audio-video materials are a significant component of the teaching resources. How to reasonably manage these materials and fully exploit their educational uses thus becomes a significant issue for many institutions of higher education. Due to the need of these universities and colleges for practicality, a managing system is designed to solve the aforementioned problems: this system adopts standardized metadata to catalogue the audio-video materials, configures the system modules with the assistance of advanced computer software, and provides content-oriented management for digital materials. The system offers such applications as searching, browsing and lending audio-video materials, along with code-converting and materials-customizing, in order that teachers and students could have easier access to audio-video materials.
