Teachers of higher secondary school stage look after adolescents and young adults. It is a tough and challenging task for the teachers to deal with students who are of this age group. The main aim of the present study is to find out the occupational stress level of higher secondary school teachers in Mizoram and to compare the occupational stress level of male and female teachers of higher secondary school in Mizoram. 320 higher secondary school teachers were selected by proportionate random sampling from four (4) districts of Mizoram. A standardized tool ‘Teacher’s Occupational Stress Scale’ developed by Sharma & Kaur (2015) was used for the test. The finding revealed that there is a significant difference between the occupational stress of male and female higher secondary school teachers in Mizoram.

ObjectivePersonality traits can be the basis for individual differences in the biological response of stress. To date, many psychobiological studies have been conducted to clarify the relationship between personality and biological reactivity to stress. This review summarizes the most important findings in this area of research. ResultsKey findings related to the relationship between personality factors and stress-sensitive biological systems in four research models have been summarized; model of psychosocial characteristics, model based on Rumination and Emotional Inhibition, Eysenck’s biopsychological model, and Five-Factor Approach of Personality. ConclusionAccording to the results of this review, it can be concluded that personality typology of individuals influenced their biological reactivity to stressful events. Understanding the biological basis of personality can help to better understand vulnerability to stress. Future research can be continuing based on framework of the four models.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepribadian terhadap stres kerja perawat di rumah sakit jiwa Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Penelitian ini menggunakan sample sebanyak 30 perawat. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner dan data analisis menggunakan regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa kepribadian mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap stress kerja perawat di rumah sakit jiwa Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Kesimpulan tersebut didasarkan pada uji signifikansi dengan nilai t-statistics -4,389> 1.96. Sehingga, hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penilitian ini dapat diterima. Arah pengaruh hipotesis ini adalah negatif yang berarti bahwa ketika kepribadian tinggi maka stres kerja yang akan dialami menurun dan sebaliknya. Berdasarkan analisis deskripsi, dari dimensi kepribadian ditemukan bahwa dimensi kesadaran memiliki pengaruh terbesar
