Another study group investigated the potential role of P53 and B-cell lymphoma 2 (BCL2) (gene locus: 18q21.33), an anti-apoptotic factor suppressing and blocking apoptotic signal transduction, as potential reliable molecular markers for patients with LSCC (22).
