“…Elbow stiffness depends on articular congruence, capsuloligamentous structures, peri-articular muscles (in particular the brachialis anterior) and pain which entails a voluntary and inadvertent reduction in ROM. Pain appears in 25% of high-energy traumas, 15% of dislocations and also in low-energy traumas with immobilization and it is the most common complication after a trauma involving fracture, dislocation or damage to soft tissues (7,8).
