“…The most logical explanation for the lack of increased CYP2B10 would be that CAR-mediated signaling is altered in the absence of PPAR/␦ expression, because it is known that CYP2B10 is regulated by CAR. 49,50 However, administration of a CAR ligand caused up-regulation of CYP2B10 in both wild-type and PPAR/␦-null mice, and expression of mRNA encoding CAR is also not different between genotypes (data not shown). Furthermore, administration of a PPAR/␦ ligand does not increase CYP2B10 expression in liver, indicating that CYP2B10 is not directly regulated by PPAR/␦.…”
