Abstract: Recent studies have suggested significance of glucagon in diabetes. Recent topics related to glucagon and pharmacotherapy of diabetes will be discussed. SGLT2 inhibitors lower blood glucose levels by preventing renal glucose reuptake, but they often cause hyperglucagonemia.
